Kingsport, TN Activities - Toyota of Kingsport

Kingsport, TN is the largest city in both Hawkins and Sullivan Counties, but most of the city is in Sullivan County. There are many reasons to love living in this beautiful city. Today, we’re highlighting the top three reasons to love living in Kingsport.

Outdoor Activities

The primary reason to love living in Kingsport is the great number of outdoor activities. We love The Kingsport Greenbelt. This beautiful hiking and biking trail is home to plenty of wildlife, including several bird species, river otters, and muskrats. However, what we love most about this trail are the stunning Holston River views. The first mile of this trail is gravel and a little steep, but the rest of the trail is easy to hike or bike.

Another great outdoor activity in Kingsport is horseback riding. The Warrior’s Path Riding Stables is another great place to have a birthday party. The trail can be a little tricky, but the horses are well-trained and very calm, handling the steep trails with grace. Also, there are plenty of activities to keep your kids entertained while they are waiting for the ride to start, including cornhole, coloring, and goats roaming around waiting for attention.

Attractions

There are also plenty of attractions to occupy your time during the day. For example, the entire family will love Kingsport Carousel & Park. This indoor park is open Wednesday through Sunday from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Adults and children alike love this carousel, and tickets are only $1 apiece.

The historical Rotherwood Mansion is also well worth a visit. This allegedly haunted mansion may or may not be home to ghosts, but this isolated, three-story manor features a stunning view of the Holston River.

Incredible Restaurants

Some days, you just don’t feel like washing dishes so you can stand over a hot stove and spend an hour making dinner. Even worse, nothing in your fridge looks appetizing. You’re in the mood for sushi, and you don’t want to go to the store for fresh fish and sushi rice. Luckily, you don’t have to cook every night if you choose to live in Kingsport. There are delicious restaurants for everyone, including Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Italian.

If you’re in the mood for Japanese, you’ll love Edo Sushi Bar and Grill. If you want sushi, but you can’t decide what you want, we recommend the Chirashi Bowl. You’ll get a large bowl of sushi rice and the sushi chef will select the freshest fish of the day to put on top. The Bento boxes are also a great choice for dinner. In an adorable box with five compartments, you get crab rangoons, a California roll, glazed carrots, rice, and teriyaki beef, shrimp, or chicken.

There are plenty of reasons to love living in Kingsport. Among them are outdoor activities, attractions, and incredible restaurants. Once you decide what you’re doing for the day, you need a safe, reliable way to get there. Come see us today at Toyota of Kingsport on E Stone Dr to find your next new or used car!
