The 2021 Corolla models are coming out. Sporty, efficient, and loaded with technology are just a few of the things they are saying about it. Here’s a look at some of the best features on the 2021 Toyota Corolla.
Stylish Exterior
With six models plus a hybrid version, there is sure to be a Corolla to fit your lifestyle. The L and LE trims are the entry-level models but come nicely equipped with 15-inch steel wheels on the L and 16-inch wheels in steel or alloy on the LE.
LED daytime running lights and LED brake lights are also standard on these trims, as are color-keyed mirrors, door handles, and the shark fin antenna.
The SE and SE Nightshade trims add accent lighting, a sport mesh dark gray grille, a rear spoiler, and smoked sport trim on the taillights. Nightshade trims add dark gray and black accents to the bumpers, spoiler, doors, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
XLE and XSE trims come equipped with features like a power moonroof, power heated side mirrors, and high-grade LED lighting.
Comfortable Interior
Slipping inside the Corolla, you’re greeted by ergonomically designed six-way adjustable seats in either cloth, premium cloth, or Softex sport-trimmed. An available leather-wrapped steering wheel, soft-touch materials throughout, and Piano Black accents add to the comfort and refinement.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability allow you to easily access your smart devices through the available 8-inch touch screen display. Amazon Alexa is also accessible with the Toyota+Alexa app. Now, you can control your smart home devices, play music, and even shop from your Corolla.
Performance Driving
Two engines are available on this sedan. A 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with dual overhead cams and 16 valves with Valvematic technology is standard in the lower trims. This engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), delivering 139 horsepower and 129 pound-feet of torque.
Toyota’s 2.0-liter Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine with dual overhead cams and 16 valves with variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) is standard on the higher trims and available on most trims. Also mated to the CVT this powertrain puts out an impressive 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque.
An available six-speed intelligent manual transmission uses close gear ratios in the lower range for quicker acceleration and wider top-end spacing of the gears for better economy while cruising.
Driver-Assist Features
Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is the latest and greatest suite of driver-assist technology and is standard on every Corolla. The suite includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection that alerts you to potential accidents and can even provide additional brake support.
The full-speed dynamic radar cruise control system uses advanced radar and optical technology to keep your Corolla at a preset speed and distance from the vehicle ahead. A lane-departure alert system monitors your Corolla within marked lanes. When it detects a drift, it will alert you and can even provide gentle steering correction to return you to your lane.
