Takeout Restaurants in Kingsport, TN - Toyota of KingsportGoing out to eat is always enjoyable. When someone else does the cooking, and does it right, it can be indulgent. But sometimes, you just don’t feel like going out. Well, here are three local restaurants that offer to-go dinners you can pick up and enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

Guiseppe’s Italian Restaurant

Guiseppe’s Italian Restaurant on East Stone Drive carefully crafts from scratch everything on the menu, from the pasta and the sauce all the way down to the bread.

Order a few antipasti dishes, like the stuffed mushrooms and fried mozzarella. They always have their signature Italian minestrone soup, but don’t forget to ask about the soup of the day. Their Italian chef salad is your classic antipasti platter of meats, cheeses, and more, or you can opt for a Caesar, Mediterranean, or simple garden salad.

Fish entrees will have you feeling like you’re eating on a pier in Venice. Orange Roughy, Tilapia, and shrimp scampi are just a few of the signature seafood dinners you can pick up. Steak lovers will enjoy the filet mignon, New York strip, and the slow-roasted prime rib.

Pizza and subs are also available. The meatball parmigiana is to die for, and the pizzas are all handmade Neapolitan thin-crust pies topped with the finest ingredients.

Braeden’s BBQ

Everyone love’s good barbecue, but who has the time to slow-cook, smoke, or braise all that deliciousness? Braeden’s BBQ on North Eastman Road is the perfect pit stop to pick up a meal to go.

They offer a variety of platters perfect for families. Choose from the pulled pork, pulled all-white meat turkey, beef brisket, or the ever-popular burnt ends platter. If you can’t decide, you can go for the combo platter piled high with pork, turkey, and a quarter-rack of ribs.

Each platter comes with your choice of two sides and Texas toast. Sides include favorites like coleslaw, baked beans, green beans, potato salad, and more.

Sandwiches, burgers, and hot dogs are also on the menu. Try the Devil’s Demise burger topped with American cheese, chili, and jalapenos for some real spice. The loaded hot dog also fills that bill with chili, cheddar cheese, and jalapenos.

House-smoked chicken wings can be ordered in quantities of six, 10, or 25 and come with a side. You can keep it simple with their deli sandwiches or freshly made salads.

Nick’s Family Restaurant

This classic American restaurant on Sherwood Road has been in business since 1938. Simple, housemade dishes have been delighting Kingsport diners for generations. Appetizers, like their blue cheese and bacon chips, loaded chicken nuggets smothered in cheddar cheese and bacon, and the housemade pimento cheese, are great ways to start a meal.

They have a fantastic selection of burgers and sandwiches, but it’s their chicken that’s really famous. Order from one-piece up to eight-piece dinners and get two sides and Texas toast.

There are plenty of great restaurants in Kingsport, so the next time you’re craving something delicious, order from one of these places. You’ll be glad you did.
