Toyota is at the forefront of introducing new technology to make vehicles safer for everyone on the road. That’s why they offer their Safety SenseĀ package as standard equipment in every brand-new Toyota. This package comprises radar and camera systems that serve as extra eyes for the driver, detecting potential hazards before they cause a collision. Features include a pre-collision warning system with automatic emergency braking, lane departure alert, automatic high beams, and dynamic radar cruise control that can be used at any speed. Many competing models offer similar systems only as options or on higher trims, but Toyota is including them at every trim level at no additional cost.

The Entune system features advanced voice recognition software, Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free phone calls and streaming audio, and Siri Eyes Free integration for your smartphone. If you opt for the Premium system, you can also access the app suite, which includes favorite programs like Pandora, iHeartRadio, Yelp, Facebook, and OpenTable. Easily listen to your favorite music and podcasts and plan your night out without ever taking your eyes off the road, or your hands off the wheel. The Premium system also has integrated navigation with real-time weather and traffic updates, making your daily commute a breeze.

  1. Electric, Battery, and Hybrid Vehicles

Hybrid vehicles first went mainstream in the U.S. with the release of the Toyota Prius more than 10 years ago. Today, Toyota has nine hybrid and electric cars in its lineup, meaning that regardless of the type of car you prefer, you can save money on gas and reduce your carbon footprint with a brand-new Toyota. Drivers can opt for hybrid versions of the mid-size Camry sedan, the large Avalon sedan, the RAV4 crossover, and the Highlander mid-size SUV. The Prius is now available in four models: the compact Prius, named the best hybrid car for the money by U.S. News and World Report; the subcompact Prius c; the Prius Prime, an all-new plug-in model for 2017; and the Prius V wagon. In addition, Toyota remains an innovator with the release of last year’s Mirai, one of the first hydrogen fuel cell vehicles available for commercial sale. This revolutionary technology results in a vehicle that has no emissions, offers a range of 312 miles on a fuel tank, and gets 66 miles per gallon.
