We’ve made a list of our five favorite coffee shops in the area, and we’re sure that you’ll have a great experience at any one of them.

Renewed Brew Coffee Company

Renewed Brew is a hidden gem in Kingsport, located on East Center Street. They serve excellent espresso and brewed coffee, as well as pastries and snacks. The environment is warm and welcoming, with comfortable seating, and extremely friendly staff. We recommend you grab a latte here, either to-go or inside on one of their many cozy chairs.

Hibbert-Davis Urban Brews

You can find Hibbert-Davis right in downtown Kingsport, and we recommend stopping by here for a latte or espresso. The espresso has a unique and delicious flavor that’s unlike anywhere else in town. The coffee shop is quite spacious, so there’s lots of room to sit with friends over morning coffees. The baristas here are very knowledgeable and helpful, so if you’re not sure what to get don’t be too shy to ask for recommendations.

The Mustard Seed

This coffee shop has a cool modern vibe, with an exposed brick wall and industrial-looking ceiling. Here you can grab a delicious lunch to go with your coffee, and we recommend trying their delicious homemade quiche. The coffee shop is popular among locals and is always bustling with activity, but the amazing staff is always friendly and welcoming no matter how busy the place gets.

Still Waters Coffeehouse

A little further from town on Bobby Hicks Highway is Still Waters Coffeehouse, a cute little coffee shop with old-fashioned chairs and tables that give this place the atmosphere of a classy parlor room. The coffee is delicious and there are so many syrup flavor options that anyone is sure to find something they like. This is a great place to bring kids as well since there is a kid’s corner with coloring books and markers to keep them busy.

The Bagel Exchange

If you love to start your day with a wonderfully fresh bagel and amazing coffee, this is the place for you. The menu includes both breakfast and lunch bagel sandwiches as well as a classic bagel with cream cheese. The service here is friendly and fast and the atmosphere is lovely, with the smell of fresh bagels filling the air.
