Adventures are better together, so the 2025 Toyota Highlander makes room for up to eight passengers inside its quiet and comfortable three-row cabin. No matter whether you prefer a practical, sporty, or luxurious SUV, five available trim levels let you customize the Highlander to suit your style.

1. LE

The entry-level Highlander offers plenty of capability, thanks to its 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that produces 265 horsepower and tows up to 5,000 pounds. The LE is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and its independent suspension is optimized for precise handling and a smooth ride. Inside, it has seating for eight with a second-row bench seat, plus three-zone automatic climate control with a separate control panel in the second row.

The LE comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, and a power liftgate that provides convenient access to the cargo area. Its six-speaker audio system is controlled by an 8-inch touchscreen, which also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone connections. To keep your family protected on the road, the LE includes a long list of advanced safety features, like a Blind Spot Monitor to warn you when there’s another vehicle in an adjacent lane.

2. XLE

The premium XLE comes with exclusive 18-inch machined-finish alloy wheels, silver-painted roof rails, and a hands-free power liftgate that detects your Smart Key and opens with a kick. XLE shoppers have a choice of seven- or eight-passenger seating with second-row captain’s chairs or a bench seat. There’s also a power moonroof, heated front seats, and second-row sunshades to keep everyone comfortable.

3. XSE

The seven-passenger XSE is made to go anywhere, with a sport-tuned suspension and standard Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD. Its Multi-Terrain Select lets you tailor its traction for the environment, with modes including MUD & SAND and ROCK & DIRT. Outside, 20-inch black alloy wheels, a black mesh front grille, and black exterior accents showcase the XSE’s athletic character. Interior upgrades include ambient lighting and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.

4. Limited

Building on the XLE’s premium features, the Limited takes luxury to the next level with its leather-trimmed seats, ventilated front seats, and ornamental dash trim. Its exterior features include 20-inch chrome-finished alloy wheels and a black-painted front grille with a chrome-plated surround. The Limited’s tech is upgraded, too, with a larger 12.3-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and an 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio system.

5. Platinum

The most luxurious Highlander comes standard with Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a digital rearview mirror that uses a camera to give you a clearer, wider view of what’s behind you. Featuring standard seven-passenger seating, the Platinum takes comfort to the max with heated second-row seats and a panoramic glass roof.
