Netherland Inn and Complex

Kingsport’s representative on the National Register of Historic Places, this turn-of-the-century structure from 1802 began its life as a proposed boatyard. When it was sold over a decade later, it became the iconic inn and tavern that hosted at least three presidents. This historical fixture would eventually serve as a boarding house and a private residence before becoming the fascinating museum and ode to early 19th century life it is today.
