2019 Toyota Tundra in Kingsport, TN - Toyota of Kingsport

The 2019 Toyota Tundra is a full-sized truck that offers reliability and capability. With this truck, you’ll get excellent off-road performance, a sporty on-road drive, respectable towing capability, and a suite of advanced driver-assist features.

Superior Off-Roading With the TRD Pro

If you’re into off-roading, the new TRD Pro trim that is now offered with the 2019 Tundra will provide you with all the off-road capability you need. This tough vehicle features 18-inch forged BBS wheels that reduce unsprung mass by 3.35 pounds per wheel, affording you a better cornering response. It also boasts a TRD-tuned Fox suspension, featuring 2.5-inch Fox dampers and beefy 46-mm-thick pistons, that will help keep the ride smooth when encountering rough terrain.

To afford your visibility no matter what the conditions, the TRD Pro also comes with full LED front lighting and Rigid Industries fog lights that boast a rugged construction and a 35-degree wide-angle pattern. Other off-road features offered with the trim include aluminum skid plates and a tuned dual exhaust. You’ll recognize the TRD Pro trim by its hood scoop and TRD Pro stamping on the rear panels.

Sport-Focused On-Road Performance

For a superior on-road street performance, opt for the TRD Sport package that adds 20-inch alloy wheels, a hood scoop, LED head- and taillights, and TRD Sport Bilstein shocks. The latter is part of an advanced system featuring anti-sway bars that consist of a solid 36-mm sway bar up front and a solid 25-mm rear sway bar, which provide more responsive cornering and improved control.

Respectable Towing/Hauling Capability

If you opt for the available 5.7-liter V-8 engine, your Tundra will be equipped with staggered, outboard-mounted shocks, an integrated towing hitch receiver, and a trailer hitch that will allow you to tow up to 10,000 pounds. Included with the 5.7-liter is also a TOW/HAUL mode, which automatically holds the lower gears for a longer time when hauling so that you don’t have to keep hunting for the right gear. This system also intelligently manages throttle response, pulling power, and engine braking, providing you a safer and effortless towing experience.

Other available and standard towing features include an available Intelligent Trailer Brake Controller system that allows you to control the trailer brakes, and a standard trailer-sway system, which manages engine power and braking to individual wheels to assuage sway when it is detected.

Advanced Safety Features

All Tundras are equipped with a rearview camera and Toyota’s Safety Sense suite, which includes driver-assist features such as forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, brake assist, and automatic emergency braking. Higher trims receive added components of this suite, including lane departure warning, automatic high-beam headlights, and adaptive cruise control. Other optional features include front and rear parking sensors and a blind-spot monitoring system with rear-cross traffic alert.

If you’re looking for a capable, reliable, and safe truck, the Toyota Tundra will not disappoint. You can also customize your truck for superior off-roading performance, or you can opt for a sport-focused on-road performance.
