Skiing and Snowboarding at Ski Beech

Ski Beech is a great place to start your winter adventures. It’s about an hour’s drive from Kingsport, making it a short trip for winter sports lovers. It’s a great place for all levels of skiers and snowboarders, with 36 slopes and a handful of lifts to help you access them.

There are also a few terrain parks to try your snowboarding tricks on. Ski Beech’s lower mountain also has a tubing park, a magic carpet, and a few ski and snowboarding lessons to try out. Ski Beech is open weekends in October, daily from November through February, and weekends from March through April.

Ice Skating at Tri-Cities Ice Arena

Next up, ice skating! The Tri-Cities Ice Arena is a short drive from Kingsport, making it a great trip for a date night or family outing. For ice skating, there are beginner and intermediate sessions during the week and regular sessions on the weekends.

Ice skating is a great way to get some exercise and have fun at the same time. The Ice Arena also has two skating rinks that are regularly open, as well as a few private skating and ice hockey sessions.

Snow Tubing at Big Creek Snow Tubing Park

Finally, if you’re looking for some more family-friendly winter fun, snow tubing is a great choice. Big Creek Snow Tubing Park is about an hour’s drive from Kingsport, making it an easy trip for a day trip. Tubing parks are great for kids of all ages, as they can sled down a snow-covered hill while strapped into a soft inflatable sled.

Big Creek Snow Tubing Park has a few different slopes for all experience levels. They also have a snack bar and gift shop on-site, as well as arcade games and a small outdoor play area. Big Creek Snow Tubing Park is open on weekends in October and daily from December through March.
