They have a great deal to offer adventurous nature lovers. more Warrior's Path State Park Warrior's Path State Park is a 950-acre park that sits along an old Native American trading path. It is located along the shore of the Patrick Henry Reservoir on the Holston River at 490 Hemlock Road in Kingsport. The park boasts an 18-hole regulation golf course, 134 campsites with tables, grills, and water and electric hookups, and five picnic pavilions capable of accommodating 100 to 160 people each. The pavilions must be reserved by calling the park office and paying a small reservation fee. Large lodge rentals are available for corporate meetings or other large-scale events. They are equipped with bathrooms and fountains but have no kitchen facilities. All buildings at the park are ADA accessible. Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium For a combination of natural beauty and celestial wonder, head over to Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium at 853 Bays Mountain Park Road in Kingsport. There you'll find a pristine 3,500-acre nature preserve, a 44-acre lake, a planetarium theater, a nature center, and a multitude of animal habitats. The primary residents of the animal habitats at the park include wolves, bobcats, red foxes, falcons, hawks, owls, rattlesnakes, many species of amphibians, white-tail deer, river otters, turtles, and many fish species. Wildlife observation is best achieved through a guided barge ride tour, available each weekday at 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 1, 2, and 5 p.m. Primitive camping areas are available for scout groups and other recognized organizations. Fishing is permitted for people 55 and older or teens and children under 16 years of age. Proof of age is required, and everyone 12-15 years of age must have a youth fishing license. The most common fish found in the park are bluegill, bass, and channel catfish. Borden Park If you prefer a more organized park that is packed with fun activities to enjoy, head over to Borden Park at 901 Lamont Street in Kingsport. This smaller 17-acre park includes an arboretum, barbecue grills, an asphalt basketball court, a community building, horseshoe pits, an 18-hole golf course, seven picnic shelters, many different playgrounds, half a dozen well-lit tennis courts, a long paved walking trail, and an event area. The park is pet friendly, has a disc golf course, and is handicap accessible thanks to generous aid from the Kingsport Rotary Club. This course is ideal for new golfers since they offer comprehensive golfing lessons. The lessons include instruction on putting, chipping, short game tactics, irons, metal clubs, and more. Training is on-course and available in half-hour and one-hour lengths, so you can get used to Cattails as you progress at your own pace. Nine of their holes feature water obstacles of some sort, and all but one include sand traps. Crocket Ridge Golf Course At 4439 L Jack Drive, you'll find a beautiful open course that was twice listed as one of the best places to golf in North America. Crocket Ridge is best for middle-handicappers as it features moderate undulations and diagonal routes to the fairways. Crocket Ridge is an 18-hole regulation golf course with the following slope ratings: Red: 115/69, White 122/69, Blue 125/70.9, and Black 130/72.8. They have a driving range with a large tee box area, a practice green, a practice sand trap, and distance flags with yardage markers. Their Pro Shop contains name-brand clothing and equipment sure to please even the most discerning of golfers. Tee times can be booked online through their website, and golf carts are available to all players over the age of 15. Warrior's Path Golf Trail This beautiful 18-hole public golf course is situated on the shore of Fort Patrick Henry Lake in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is just one part of the massive Warrior's Path State Park, which is 950 acres in size and features rivers, forests, hiking trails, campgrounds, and much more. The course is located at 1687 Fall Creek Road in Kingsport, and it is a par 72 course. Warrior's Path features a large practice area for everyone from beginners to experts to enjoy. It features a driving range, a practice green, a practice bunker, and a snack bar. Lessons are available to all golfers, and tee times are required in advance seven days a week. The state park this course rests in offers RV parking, so if you've traveled a long distance in one to get there you won't have to stay outside of the park. Each of these parks has a great deal to offer players, whether they have been playing for years or are just getting started. Keeping your house clean is probably something you do on a regular basis, but when it comes to keeping your car clean, you might not do it as frequently. Cleaning your car is something that should be part of your cleaning routine, although we know it can be challenging. Here are some tips that will help make this chore an easier one. more Washing the Exterior Regularly washing your car will not only make it look nice but also extend the life of your paint job. Start by making sure it isn't hot from driving or sitting in the sun; you can park it in the shade if necessary. You'll want to gather your supplies, such as buckets, soap, a soft cloth, and a brush. Fill one bucket with soapy water and the other with clean water, and then proceed to rinse your entire car with water. Once you have rinsed it, you can begin to wash it with the brush. Work in small areas, starting at the top of the car, first washing, then rinsing, and repeating these steps until you have scrubbed the entire surface. Wash the tires last, as they get the dirtiest and will likely make your water and cloth unusable after using them on this part of your car. When you're done, dry the car with a soft towel to prevent water spots. Deep Clean the Interior There are several things you'll need to do to really get the inside of your car looking like new: Remove trash and other unused items Wipe down surfaces Vacuum Shampoo the upholstery Grab a trash bag and start removing any built-up trash or items that have made their way into your car that don't belong there. After removing everything you can, you'll be able to really start cleaning. You'll need cloths for wiping surfaces, as well as a toothbrush, cotton swabs, and car cleaner. Just as with the outside, you want to start with the upper surfaces and work your way down. Wipe the dashboard, the steering wheel, the door panels, and every other surface you can see. Use the toothbrush and cotton swabs to get in the vents and other nooks and crannies you can't wipe with a cloth. The toothbrush is also a good tool for scrubbing the upholstery. When you finish wiping everything down, you can vacuum the carpets and floor mats. Make sure you use a vacuum with good suction so that it cleans all that deep down dirt. The final step is to shampoo the upholstery and get your seats looking brand-new again. Do the Windows Use window cleaner to really get your windshield clean. You'll want to clean it both inside and out to ensure you have the best visibility when you're on the road. Take some time to wipe down your windshield wipers too. This will prevent things that get stuck in the wipers from scratching your windshield. It's not just the windshield that needs to be cleaned, though, so make sure you get the side windows and rear window as well. Cleaning your car will make your drive more comfortable and relaxing. The Corolla is a compact sedan, while the Camry is a midsize. The length of the Camry is between 192 and 194 inches, while the Corolla checks in at 182 inches in length. You'll mainly notice this size difference in the rear seat, as the Camry provides more space for taller passengers or bulkier child car seats. In fact, the Camry has about 3.2 inches in legroom in the rear over the Corolla. Both sedans can seat five. The cargo volume also differs, with the Camry offering 15.1 cubic feet and the Corolla offering 13.1, so if you have a lot of bulky or large items to transport, the Camry is more likely to give you the needed space. Cabin Features The latest models of both sedan options come with appealing new features. The Camry offers a more extensive range of tech features than the Corolla, although both feature a 7-inch touch screen for the infotainment system and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. Power and Performance Beneath the hood of most Camry models is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 184 pound-feet of torque and 203 horsepower. An optional 3.5-liter V-6 unit can be had on the XSE and XLE, which makes 267 pound-feet of torque and 301 horsepower. With both engines, an eight-speed automatic transmission is standard. The Corolla has a standard 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, rating at 126 pound-feet of torque and 139 horsepower, while a 2.0-liter four-cylinder is available as an upgrade. This unit pumps out 151 pound-feet of torque and 169 horsepower. These engines both feature a continuously variable transmission, although you can get a six-speed manual.
