3. Remote Connect
Using the Toyota app on your smartphone or smartwatch, a Remote Connect subscription lets you stay connected to your Corolla from anywhere. With this technology, you can receive notifications if another driver is driving your vehicle past a set time or above a set speed limit.
You can also get a reminder if you’ve left a door, hood, trunk, or window open or unlocked. Some Corolla grades even allow you to remotely lock the doors, start the engine, and turn on the hazard lights and horn, all from your smart device.
4. Pre-Collision System
Designed to protect its passengers in the event of a collision, the Corolla has 10 standard airbags and has been awarded a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the NHTSA. Even better than keeping you safe during a collision is preventing a collision entirely, which is exactly what the Corolla’s standard Pre-Collision System is designed to do.
This system detects vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcycles on the road ahead and warns you when it predicts a potential collision, so you can respond by applying the brakes. If you don’t respond quickly enough, the Pre-Collision System can apply the brakes automatically to help prevent or minimize the impact of a collision.
