The Top Five Luxuries in the 2017 Land Cruiser

The new and improved Land Cruiser is misnamed. It should be called the Luxurious Off-Roader. Nothing on this vehicle is commonplace, so it's hard to narrow down the benefits of this storm on wheels. Its size alone beckons every driver, from a parent of a large crew to an adventure-seeking single set on hauling camping equipment and traversing unknown terrain during his off hours. This fully-loaded sports utility vehicle offers one trim — perfection.

Seating

Seating eight has never been more pleasant. Leather-trimmed ventilated and heated seats cushion the ride of the driver and front passenger. Meanwhile, the second row offers heated seats, so you're comfortable no matter where you sit. Two pairs of Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) provide easy access for installing car seats.

Climate Control

After being spoiled by this vehicle, you might have to evaluate the ventilation system in your home. Fights about who needs more or less air are a thing of the past with four-zone automatic climate control. Each of the front passengers, as well as the two outside second-row passengers, can set his or her preferred temperature, which is then maintained through twenty-eight air vents throughout the cabin.

Entertainment

Expunge the drama of long trips with the rear-seat DVD entertainment system. Screens placed behind the front row headrests boast 11.6 inches of blissful distraction for the second and third-row passengers, whether they are kids or opinionated buddies. Enjoy movies, video games, and more from the comfort of your own backseat. The Entune App Suite connects to compatible smartphones to access Pandora, Slacker Radio, Destination Search, OpenTable, MovieTickets.com, and more. A 605-watt amplifier fills the car with clear sound.

Safety Advancements

The Multi-Terrain Monitor empowers you to discover uncharted territory without trepidation. With the push of a button, get a 360-degree view of the vehicle's surroundings and the obstacles that might cause trouble. The 9-inch display replaces your navigation screen while this feature is activated. When tough terrain requires your undivided attention, Crawl Control automatically alters the throttle and brakes so you don't have to take your mind off steering. As part of the Toyota Safety Sense package, Lane Departure Alert, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Auto High Beams come standard.

Engine Specifications

Some days you want to take control, while on others you feel like being pampered. Choose sequential shift mode to transform your intelligent engine into a manual transmission catering to your every whim. Otherwise, enjoy the eight-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence, which continuously monitors throttle input, speed, and incline to determine which gear is best for the situation. This 5.7-liter V8 engine puts out 381 horsepower and 401 foot-pounds of torque.

The 2017 Land Cruiser never backs down from a challenge, making it an awesome companion for anyone who wants to explore the world. The aggressive grille paired with the fierce LED lights of the vehicle match its personality, and foldaway third-row seats open the rear up to 81.7 cubic feet of cargo space. When you're not hauling people, you have enough room to stock your backseat full of everything you need to prepare for an awesome adventure.
