Engine (Power)
The standard i-FORCE 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine generates 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque in most trims, while the SR trim receives a lower-output version producing 348 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. The i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain combines the twin-turbo V-6 with an electric motor to produce 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque. All engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission for smooth power delivery.
Performance
The i-FORCE MAX models can tow up to 12,000 pounds, while the SR5 leads payload capacity at 1,940 pounds. The i-FORCE MAX accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, with the i-FORCE following at 6.1 seconds. Both powertrains have an electronically limited top speed of 107 mph. The TRD Pro features FOX internal bypass shocks with piggyback reservoirs and multi-terrain select with crawl control for enhanced off-road capability. Higher trims benefit from an adaptive variable suspension. The part-time four-wheel-drive system and downhill assist control provide additional capability in challenging conditions.
Interior
An 8-inch touchscreen is standard on the SR, while the SR5 and higher trims feature a 14-inch touchscreen. The Capstone receives semi-aniline leather-trimmed seats and open-pore wood accents. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster enhances Platinum and higher trims. The Limited and above feature a premium JBL audio system with 12 speakers and heated and ventilated front seats. Platinum and 1794 Edition trims add heated rear seats. All trims include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Power-adjustable seats range from eight-way in the SR5 to 10-way in Platinum and above trims. The Platinum, 1794 Edition, and Capstone benefit from a panoramic-view monitor with cameras.
Safety Features
Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 comes standard on all trims, including a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed-range dynamic radar cruise control, and lane departure alert with steering assist. SR5 and higher trims add a blind-spot monitor with a rear cross-traffic alert. The trailer merge warning system assists with safe lane changes while towing, while the trailer backup guide with straight path assist simplifies reversing with a trailer. Automatic high beams improve nighttime visibility across all trims.
