Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Toyota Tundra is available in seven trims: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone. You can choose between the Double and Crew cab. The truck also has three different bed sizes: 5-feet-6-inches, 6-feet-6-inches, and 8-feet-1-inch. One new addition for the 2023 model year is the SX appearance package, which includes black badging and exterior trim as well as gray 18-inch wheels.
Engine (Power)
Under the hood of the 2023 Toyota Tundra, you'll find one of two engine options. A twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine makes between 348 to 389 horsepower and 405 to 479 pound-feet of torque, depending on the trim. Toyota refers to this engine as the i-Force. A hybrid setup, known as i-Force Max, features a V-6 engine with an electric motor. When combined they crank out 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque. Both use a 10-speed automatic transmission to send power to the rear wheels, although four-wheel drive is also available.
Performance
Unlike the outgoing model, the 2023 Toyota Tundra has a coil-spring rear suspension instead of a traditional leaf suspension. Thanks in part to this update, the truck feels more poised when you turn, and you might almost believe that you're driving in a sedan than a large SUV. This suspension also enhances the truck's off-road capabilities and makes it easier to navigate through difficult terrain. Certain trims also have an impressive 9.4 inches of ground clearance. When properly configured, the truck has a maximum towing capacity of 12,000 pounds.
Interior
Over the years, large SUVs have made their interiors more luxurious, and the same can be said about the 2023 Toyota Tundra. The modern interior receives additional high-quality materials as you move up in trim levels. For instance, the upper trims include genuine walnut wood trim. Its cabin experiences little if any wind and road noise, and the driver has a commanding view of the road.
The Tundra's intuitive infotainment system with a standard 8-inch or optional 14-inch touchscreen display features crisp graphics and a responsive screen. Some noteworthy standard technology features include navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a virtual assistant, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. One notable upgrade is a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, which allows you to view a variety of driving information in a clear format. Safety Features
Every 2023 Toyota Tundra has multiple driver-assistance features, including automatic high-beam headlights, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and forward automatic emergency braking.
