Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Crown has a curvy profile that resembles a sports car, narrow, angular headlights, and a large, black mesh grille. You can choose XLE, Limited, or Platinum trim levels. This car comes with 5.8 inches of ground clearance, 19-inch wheels, puddle lights, daytime running lights, acoustic glass to reduce road noise, and heated power-folding side mirrors with turn signals. You can add 21-inch wheels, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a panoramic glass roof with a power sunshade.
Available colors include Black, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Supersonic Red, Heavy Metal, and Oxygen White. With the Platinum trim level, you can also choose Bronze Age, Oxygen White, Supersonic Red, and Heavy Metal with a black roof, hood, and trunk.
Engine (Power)
The 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid motor produces 184 horsepower and 163 pound-feet of torque. With the electric engine, you can get up to 236 horsepower. The XLE and Limited trim levels have an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (ECVT). The Platinum trim has a hybrid 2.4-liter four-cylinder motor. It's turbocharged and produces 264 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. It can provide up to 340 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque with the electric engine, and it uses a six-speed automatic transmission. With both motors, all-wheel drive is standard.
Performance
The Crown comes with power steering, an independent suspension, and Active Cornering Assistance to help you navigate sharp turns. The XLE and Limited have sport, eco, normal, and EV driving modes. EV mode lets you drive with only battery power for short distances. The Platinum has comfort, eco, normal, Sport S, Sport S+, and custom driving modes.
Interior
The refined, high-tech interior comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, wireless charging, push-button start, keyless entry, and adaptive cruise control. You'll also get eight-way, heated power front seats, lumbar support for the driver's seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener, and dual-zone climate control with vents for the rear seats.
Folding rear seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio, driver assistance, and infotainment controls are standard as well. The Limited and Platinum trims have heated and cooled leather front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and an 11-speaker JBL audio system with a subwoofer and an amplifier.
Safety Features
The Crown's advanced features help you and your passengers stay safe. It comes with hill start assist, safe exit assist, electronic stability control, braking assistance, traction control, and a security system with an alarm and an engine immobilizer. Other safety features include pedestrian detection, lane departure alert, steering assistance, road sign recognition, eight airbags, and a rearview camera. You can add front and rear parking assistance with automatic braking, Advanced Park hands-free parking, and a 360-degree camera system.
