Trim Levels (Exterior)
The hybrid version of the Corolla is only offered with the LE trim. In addition, the Corolla Hybrid is exclusively offered as a sedan model. With this model, you receive standard features such as 15-inch alloy wheels, high-grade LED headlights, LED taillights, LED daytime running lights, power-adjustable side mirrors, and variable intermittent windshield wipers. You can choose from attractive exterior paint options such as Wind Chill Pearl, Ruby Flare Pearl, Blueprint, and Celestite Gray Metallic.
Engine (Power)
The Corolla Hybrid is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that pairs with two electric motors to provide a total combined output of 121 horsepower and 105 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a continuously variable automatic transmission.
Performance
Due to a fully independent multilink rear suspension, the Corolla Hybrid will provide you with a comfortable ride and agile handling when you're driving on curvy roads. Three drive modes, through which drivers can customize their driving experience, are offered with the Corolla Hybrid. These are Normal mode, which is the most suitable mode for everyday driving; Eco mode, which is the most efficient drive mode; and Power mode, for those times that you want a more exciting ride.
Interior
The Corolla's cabin is well laid out and comfortable. Since the compact battery pack fits under the rear seat, the cabin provides a spacious interior and a respectably sized cargo area. Supportive seating for up to five passengers is provided, and you receive 13.1 inches of cargo space behind the rear seats. For those times that you need more cargo space, the rear seats can be folded down.
Apart from offering Wi-Fi capability and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, the standard 8-inch infotainment system features six speakers, two USB charging ports, Bluetooth, Amazon Alexa compatibility, and SiriusXM. A 7-inch TFT multi-information display ensures that drivers have important information regarding their vehicle in direct line of sight.
With the base trim, you receive automatic climate control, push-button start, a rear-window defogger, and premium fabric upholstery. If you want a more upscale interior, opt for the Premium Interior Package. If you do, your Corolla Hybrid will come with a SofTex interior trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and a power-adjustable driver's seat.
Safety Features
You receive the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite, which consists of advanced driver-assist systems, as standard gear with the Corolla Hybrid. Standard systems include pre-collision with pedestrian detection, lane-departure alert with steering assist, road sign assist, lane-tracing assist, and full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control. You can also opt for an available blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, which can detect vehicles in your blind spot and sense approaching traffic when you're in reverse.
