Available in six different trim models, the 2018 Corolla has plenty of options for the discerning buyer. Whether you’re interested in the highest end technology or looking for a budget conscious option, there’s a trim model for every kind of buyer. The L is the base model and comes standard with adaptive cruise control, LED headlights and daytime running lights, Bluetooth hands-free capabilities, a rearview camera, and a 6.1-inch touch infotainment screen, plus many other exciting features. With a sunroof, keyless entry and ignition, heated front seats, a 7-inch touch infotainment screen, and upgraded simulated leather upholstery, the XLE is the first of the luxury models, and the added standard features add to the overall quality feel of the vehicle. Featuring a more sporty design, the SE has a stylized front bumper featuring a unique black mesh grille, sport front seats, and a sportscar-inspired instrument cluster in the dash. Buyers can choose from automatic or manual transmission. Those who opt for the manual also get an upgraded infotainment system, sunroof, and keyless ignition. The next level is the XSE, which comes with manual-level features of the SE, plus heated front seats, paddle shifters, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.
Engine
All the trims are powered by the same 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. It puts out 132 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque for most models except for the Eco. Thanks to the Eco’s design and aerodynamics, the engine gets up to 140 horsepower with 126 pound-feet of torque.
