Able to accommodate up to eight passengers, the 2017 Toyota Highlander is a three-row SUV that comes in six trims: the LE, LE Plus, XLE, SE, Limited, and Limited Platinum. If you start with the LE, you get rear privacy glass, heated mirrors, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Consider the LE Plus if you want an affordable trim with a few nice perks. With the LE Plus, you get upgraded upholstery, fog lights, tri-zone climate control, and a height-adjustable power lift gate. On the XLE, the exterior gets several upgrades including roof rails, keyless entry, and a sunroof.Moving up the range, the SE builds on the XLE by adding sport-themed accents, LED running lights, and 19-inch wheels. Enjoy more premium features with the Limited such as heated and ventilated front seats, a larger sound system, and a rear cargo cover. Engine
Offering 185 horsepower, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine powers the base LE. It comes with a six-speed automatic transmission that powers the front wheels. Optional on the LE and standard on the rest of the lineup, a 3.5-liter V6 cranks out 295 horsepower. It's paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. With the V6, you can opt for all-wheel drive.
