The 2016 Toyota Highlander has a new and exciting design with five trim level options; choose between the LE, LE Plus, XLE, Limited, and Hybrid Limited. On all trims, you will notice an attractive grill in the front with large slats for good airflow. Projector-beam halogen headlights with smoked-chrome accents are standard and come with daytime running lights. Optional upgrades include LED daytime running lights, Chromtec roof rails, an adjustable power lift gate, and multiple wheel options, including 19-inch Chromtec wheels.
Engine
Just as you can choose between multiple trim options, you can also choose your engine. The LE comes with a standard gasoline engine that is 2.7-liter and 4-cylinder, with a double overhead cam and 16 valves. It also features dual variable valve timing with intelligence and gets 185 horsepower. The LE Plus, XLE, and Limited all come with a standard gasoline engine that is 3.5-liter and V6, with a double overhead cam and 24 valves. The dual variable valve timing with intelligence has been added to this engine as well, helping it achieve 270 horsepower.
