Cattails at Meadowview

For a full 18 holes of golf in an idyllic forested setting, look no further than 1901 Meadowview Parkway in Kingsport. This course is ideal for new golfers since they offer comprehensive golfing lessons. The lessons include instruction on putting, chipping, short game tactics, irons, metal clubs, and more. Training is on-course and available in half-hour and one-hour lengths, so you can get used to Cattails as you progress at your own pace.

Their golf shop has everything you could ever need to enrich your golfing experience, including clothing, clubs, bags, and other equipment. Nine of their holes feature water obstacles of some sort, and all but one include sand traps.

Crocket Ridge Golf Course

At 4439 L Jack Drive, you’ll find a beautiful open course that was twice listed as one of the best places to golf in North America. Crocket Ridge is best for middle-handicappers as it features moderate undulations and diagonal routes to the fairways. Crocket Ridge is an 18-hole regulation golf course with the following slope ratings: Red: 115/69, White 122/69, Blue 125/70.9, and Black 130/72.8.

They have a driving range with a large tee box area, a practice green, a practice sand trap, and distance flags with yardage markers. Their Pro Shop contains name-brand clothing and equipment sure to please even the most discerning of golfers. Tee times can be booked online through their website, and golf carts are available to all players over the age of 15.

Warrior’s Path Golf Trail

This beautiful 18-hole public golf course is situated on the shore of Fort Patrick Henry Lake in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is just one part of the massive Warrior’s Path State Park, which is 950 acres in size and features rivers, forests, hiking trails, campgrounds, and much more. The course is located at 1687 Fall Creek Road in Kingsport, and it is a par 72 course.

Warrior’s Path features a large practice area for everyone from beginners to experts to enjoy. It features a driving range, a practice green, a practice bunker, and a snack bar. Lessons are available to all golfers, and tee times are required in advance seven days a week. The state park this course rests in offers RV parking, so if you’ve traveled a long distance in one to get there you won’t have to stay outside of the park.
