Fishing

Fort Patrick Henry Lake is a fisherman’s paradise where anglers can fish from the shore or from a boat. It’s a popular spot to hook trout, bass, catfish, and crappie.

Birding

Although the park is busy with thousands of visitors, more than 120 bird species have been observed. There are quiet spots in the forests, wetlands, and fields that attract a wide variety of birds. Around Patrick Henry Lake, birders will see waterfowl and hear a plethora of songbirds in the forests.
